Kandy, a bustling city located in the heart of Sri Lanka, faced recurrent flooding during heavy rainfall due to the inadequate capacity and condition of the existing underground drainage system.

The project, undertaken by Saw Engineering, involved the comprehensive rehabilitation and upgrading of the underground stormwater drainage network across key areas of Kandy. The primary objectives were to enhance the drainage capacity, improve the efficiency of water flow, and mitigate the risk of flooding.
